Violet Hicks

Mrs. Violet Virginia (Lane) Hicks, 64, of the Smiths Grove Community of Barren County, Kentucky passed away on Sunday, July 23, 2023 at the Medical Center of bowling Green in Bowling Green, Kentucky. She was the daughter of Raymond Haskel and Mary Frances (Robertson) . She was a housekeeper for many years, and a devoted wife and mother.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Larry Wayne Hicks, and a brother, Danny Lane.

She is survived by her children, Johnny Hicks, Laura Hicks (& Dontae), grandchildren, Ashley Vibbert, Avionna Grinter, siblings, Joyce Gill, Roger (& Donna) Lane, nieces and nephews, Kevin Lane, Jennifer Houchens, Mike Gill, great-nieces and nephews, Christopher Gill, Leely Gill, Bravery Gill, Trevor Gill, and Haxon Gill.

Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, July 27, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Butler Funeral Home with burial in the Seven Springs Church Cemetery in Metcalfe County, Kentucky. The family will receive friends on Thursday, July 27, 2023 after 10:00 a.m. until the time for the service.
