Rosella Elizabeth Rock

Rosella Elizabeth Lile Rock, age 88, of Shady Grove, KY passed away Friday, December 12, 2025, at TJ Samson Hospital. She was born on October 14,1937 to late Samuel Spurgeon and Mary Lou Asbury Lile. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death on May 18,2025, by her childhood sweetheart and loving husband, James Ray Rock of 68 years. She was also preceded in death by her brother, James Franklin "Frank" Lile and sister-in-law Betty Lou Lile.

Rosella was saved as a young girl and became a lifelong member of Shady Grove Missionary Baptist Church. Rosella was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and aunt. She was dedicated to serving her church and was a homemaker to her family. Her greatest enjoyment was spending time with her family. 

She is survived by her daughter Rhonda (Michael) Glass, and son Mark (Bonnie) Rock. Three grandchildren Aaron (Heather) Glass, Rachel (Codi)Wilson, Leah (Ethan) Dile, six great grandchildren Ella Glass, Noah Glass, Gracelyn Wilson, Cora Wilson, Arlie Dile and Atley Dile, her niece Ginger (Frankie) Froggett and great niece and nephews Chesney (Todd) Caswell, Nate (Rebecca) Froggett and Daniel Froggett.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Tuesday, December 16, 2025, at Shady Grove Missionary Baptist Church with burial in the Houk Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until time of the funeral at the church. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Shady Grove Missionary Baptist Church Bible Fund, The Gideons International, Houk or Rock Cemetery.
