Robert Cooksey

Bro. Larry Cooksey, 79 of Edmonton passed away Tuesday, November 8, 2022 at Hardin Baptist Hospital in Elizabethtown. Born in Metcalfe County November 23, 1942 to the late Raymond and Clarcie Cross Cooksey. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by a grandson Nathan Robert Jessie. Bro. Larry was a Pastor and presently pastored Valley Chapel Church at Edmonton. He pastored several churches in the area and surrounding areas. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Betty Harper Cooksey. Two children. Larry A. Cooksey and Donna Jessie and husband Wendell all of Edmonton. Three grandchildren. Micah Fields and husband Nathan, Shana Lawson and husband Max and MaKayla Salmon and Cody. Seven great grandchildren. Lucas and Logan Lawson. Gracelyn and Olivia Fields. Dawson, Addie and Walker Salmon. A brother Wayne Cooksey of Richmond, Indiana. A sister Joyce Bancalari and husband Gene of Tennessee. Funeral services for Bro. Larry Cooksey will be held 2:00 PM, Friday at Butler Funeral Home in Edmonton with burial in the Metcalfe County Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 4:30 until 8:00 PM Thursday and after 9:00 AM Friday at the funeral home. Butler Funeral Home is both honored and privileged to be entrusted to the care of Bro. Cooksey.
