Robert Lee "Bob" Box, 91 of Edmonton, Kentucky passed away at home September 29, 2022. Born in Moline, Illinois to the last Milton and Alice Box, he was one of seven children. He was a Korean War Veteran, serving four years on a mine sweep as a personnel clerk. He met his wife, Geraldine through a church group while stationed in Charleston, South Carolina. After their marriage they moved to Illinois closer to his family. There they raised three children. Bob was a machinist/inspector for 32 years retiring from the Rock Island Arsenal. He and Jerry retired to Edmonton where they were both active at the Edmonton Baptist Church where Bob served as a deacon. He enjoyed painting, gardening, hunting and fishing. Robert is survived by his wife of 68 years, Geraldine. A daughter, Alice Lynn; two sons, Robert Lawrence (Pamela) and Charles Lyle (Margaret); seven grandchildren and three great grandsons. Special friends, Mitchell and Wanda Lollar. At this time no visitation or service is planned. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Metcalfe County Animal Shelter.
