Martha Smith

Martha Jane Smith, 86 of Edmonton passed away Thursday, August 18, 2022 at Metcalfe Health Care in Edmonton. Born January 27, 1936 to the late Ervin and Martha Howell Hurt. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Vermon Smith in 2014. Three brothers, Arnold, Garold and Donald Hurt. A sister Jean Dubree. Mrs. Smith was a homemaker and member of the Cedar Flat Presbyterian Church. She is survived by a daughter Deborah Jane Anderson and husband Calvin of Edmonton. Son, Timothy Wayne Smith and wife Michele of Edmonton. Three grandchildren. Samantha Anderson, Sarah (Shawn) Peacock and Stephanie Anderson. Three great grandchildren. Kellie Jane (David) Blanton, Kolbie Anderson and Kathrine Wilson. Two brothers. Lambert and John Hurt. A sister Mary Sue Estes. Funeral Services for Mrs. Smith will be held 2:00 PM Sunday at Butler Funeral Home in Edmonton with burial in the Missionary Mound Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM Saturday and after 10:00 AM Sunday at the funeral home. Butler Funeral Home is both honored and privileged to be entrusted to the care of Mrs. Smith.
