Margie Trulock Ballard

Margie Ballard, beloved mother and grandmother, passed away peacefully on May 24th, 2025, at the age of 69. Margie was born July 24,1955, to the late Robert and Alberta Trulock. She leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and the comforting scent of home-cooked meals. She was a member and was saved at East Fork Missionary Baptist Church.

Margie had a heart full of warmth and hands always busy with purpose. She found joy in the simple things—crocheting beautiful pieces for loved ones, cheering on UK basketball, listening to Elvis, and never missing an episode of Gunsmoke. One of her greatest pleasures was strolling along the beach, collecting seashells with childlike wonder.

Her true passion, however, was her family. Margie was the heart of every gathering, often found in the kitchen cooking with care and pride, filling plates and hearts in equal measure. Her love was steady, her spirit strong, and her hugs unforgettable.

She is survived by 4 children: Patsy (Leslie) Anderson, Patrick (Christy) Ballard, Kim (Billy) Vaughn, and Eric (Lee Ann) Ballard. She is survived by her 14 grandchildren: Kayce (BJ) Fields, Kourtney (Eddie) Colon, Kyndil (Chris) Young, Maggie (Eli) Wagner, Jared (Cheyenne) Anderson, Hunter (Ilea) Ballard, Shane (Kera) Ballard, Addy Ballard, Corey (Deanna) Folden, Michael Folden, Zach (Kaitlyn) Folden, Heather Folden, Wayne Ballard, and Sara (Michael) Holcomb. She is also survived by 25 great grandchildren and all of whom will miss her dearly and remember her always.

Margie’s life will be celebrated at Butler Funeral Home where stories, laughter, and love will be shared in her honor.

Funeral services for Margie Ballard will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday, May 28, 2025, at Butler Funeral Home with burial in the Wisdom Faith Church Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:30 AM Wednesday at the funeral home until time of service.
