Kenneth Howard Chapman

Kenneth Howard Chapman, 71 of Edmonton, KY passed away Sunday August 23, 2026, at Metcalfe Heath Care Center. He was born February 26, 1955, to the late Clarence and Geneva Gentry Chapman.

Kenneth attended Cumberland Presbyterian Church and was a hardworking farmer who knew the meaning of a long day’s work. He spent countless hours in the fields, working tirelessly to tend the land and take care of the farm. Farming wasn’t just a way of life for Kenneth; it was a part of who he was.

When the work was done, Kenneth enjoyed one of his favorite pastimes, tractor pulling. He had a special love for international tractors and owned several through the years. Whether he was working in the fields, tinkering with one of his tractors, or getting ready for a pull, Kenneth was happiest around the farm and the machines he loved.

He is survived by his brother Marty Chapman (Ann), his children Micky Compton, Stevie Compton (Valarie), Jamie Compton (Raye Ann) Compton, Nathaniel Bryant (Branda) and Morgan Gore (Christopher), nephew Lynn Chapman (Ann), and his special friend Shannon Doyle. He is also survived by several grandchildren, great grandchildren and a host of friends. 

Funeral services for Kenneth Chapman will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, August 29, 2026, at Butler Funeral Home in Edmonton with burial in the Metcalfe Co. Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 8:30 AM until time of the service here at the funeral home.
