John Marks Mann,65 of Smiths Grove, KY passed away peacefully at his residence on March 20, 2026. He was born on April 15, 1960, in Illinois to the late Ward and Dorothy Sutton Mann. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his brother David Mann.  

John proudly served his country in the Navy, exemplifying commitment and honor. Following his military service, he embarked on a distinguished career at TJ Samson Hospital, where he worked as a respiratory therapist and sleep sonographer until his retirement. His expertise and compassionate care left a lasting impact on many patients and his colleagues.

On March 5, 2001, John united in marriage with his beloved wife, Donna Mann. The couple recently celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary, a testament to their enduring love. Throughout their years together, John and Donna built a life filled with shared joys. A man who loved the outdoors, John found great pleasure working on the farm. An avid Kentucky fan, he enjoyed watching and supporting his favorite team. He was also passionate about home improvements, often doing new projects around the house. Yet, it was the simple pleasure of sitting on the porch swing that brought happiness and contentment, a quiet place where he could reflect and enjoy the world around him.

John is survived by his wife, Donna Mann of Smiths Grove, KY, two children Andrew (Jessica) Mann and Nick Mann both of Bowling Green, KY, three grandchildren Addison Mann, Jasper Mann and Jarrett Mann, his sister Madeyln (Bill) Marohnic of Glasgow and his brothers Mike (Patty) Mann of Kansas and Greg Mann of Bowling Green, KY.

In honor of John's wishes the family has chosen cremation. Butler Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted to the care of Mr. Mann.
