Herbert Hoover Bunch 91, of Edmonton, Kentucky passed away Sunday, July 14, 2024, at Signature of Hart County. Hebert was born May 6, 1933, to the late Millard and Ora Bunch. He was also preceded in death by his sister Delpha Gibson.
By profession Hoover was a long-haul truck driver. After the children were grown his wife Jean traveled with him. He retired from driving a truck at the age of 83. His hobbies included gardening and landscaping. His warm smile and personality were always welcome by everyone.
He is survived by his wife of 72 years Jean Harper Bunch of Edmonton, his two children Herby (Patty) Bunch of Edmonton and Kathy Bunch (Rick Oltmann) of Glasgow, KY, nine grandchildren Brian (Kristen) Conway, Emily (John) Perkins, Rebecca (Chad) Pennington, Natalie (Justin) Bruce, Dr. Rob Bunch, John Wayne Oltman, Alisha Oltmann, Shana Oltmann, (Ryan), and Jay Oltmann (Callie), twelve great grandchildren Sam, Sarah, Riley, Johnny, Karsyn, Ace, Kane, Kora, Stella, Varian, Rosalie and River; two brothers Rex Bunch and Millard Bunch Jr., one sister Jean Scroggy. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Hoover will be held at 2:00P.M. Thursday, July 18, 2024, at Butler Funeral Home with burial in the Metcalfe Co. Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM here at the funeral home until time of the service on Thursday.
