Evelyn “Sunny” Bell, 79, passed away peacefully on April 11, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of warmth, gentleness, and deep love for those closest to her. Born on January 7, 1947, Sunny lived a life marked by simple joys, quiet strength, and a heart that made everyone feel at home.
True to her nickname, Sunny brought light wherever she went. She found happiness in the little things, collecting teapots, delighting in the playful company of kittens, and cherishing every moment spent with her family. Her home was a place of comfort and welcome, often filled with laughter, conversation, and the familiar feeling that you were exactly where you were meant to be.
More than anything, Sunny loved her family. She gave of herself freely, offering encouragement, kindness, and unwavering support. Her presence was steady and reassuring, a source of peace in both the ordinary and the difficult moments of life.
She will be remembered for her gentle spirit, her tender heart, and the quiet ways she showed love every single day.
Evelyn “Sunny” Bell will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
She is survived by her three daughters Shelby McGinnis and husband Mark, daughter Amy Wood, daughter Heather Young and husband Robert Young.
Grandchildren Megan Cox, Miranda Isbell, Keyandra McCue, Jordan Young, Courtney Oliver, Devin Wood, Dakota Wood.
And 15 great grandchildren.
Nephew Shannon Young and his wife, and their children Bryce Young, Summer Warner, Paige Wright.
In honor of keeping Evelyn's wishes the family has chosen cremation.
Butler Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted to the care of Mrs. Bell.
