Doris Marie Gibson

Doris Marie Gibson, 99 of Edmonton, KY passed away Sunday November 24,2024 at Metcalfe Health Care Center. Doris was born December 7, 1924, to the late Oran and Lillian Hayes Froedge. She was also preceded in death by her husband Hildred Gibson, son Dale Gibson, brothers Robert, Junior and James Froedge and her sister Bernice Gooden.

Doris was a member of Missionary Mound Baptist Church. She enjoyed working in her garden, sewing and cooking.

She is survived by her grandchildren Amanda Gibson of Edmonton and Matt (Karen) Gibson of Tompkinsville, great grandchildren Mason and Chandler Gibson, daughter in law Pam Gibson of Edmonton, her sister Phyllis (Don) England and sister-in-law Bernice Froedge. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Doris will be held at 1:00 PM Wednesday, November 27, 2024, at Butler Funeral Home in Edmonton with burial in the Missionary Mound Cemetery. Visitation be from 9:00 AM Wednesday morning until time of the service. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Missionary Mound Cemetery or Beaumont Cemetery.
