Donald Wayne Jewell

Donald Wayne Jewell, 81 of Edmonton, KY passed away Saturday, February 17, 2024, at his home surrounded by his family. Donald was born August 4, 1942, to the late George and Bessie Myers Jewell. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by wife Carolyn Jewell and two brothers Harry Jewell and Garon Jewell.

Donald was a retired truck driver. He loved watching westerns, playing his guitar, working puzzles and collecting knives.

He is survived by four children Carolyn (Tom) Wilkinson of Burkesville, David Jewell (Kim Paige) of Glasgow, Donna Harris of Edmonton and Randall (Alicia) Jeffries of Knob Lick. Grandchildren Amanda Steffey (Patrick) White, Brandon Jewell, Justin Pearson and Candie (Peter) Bennett, ten great grandchildren, four great-great grandchildren, and his special friend Linda Durin. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Donald Jewell will be held 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, February 21, 2024, at Butler Funeral Home in Edmonton with burial in the Bowles Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2:00 PM until 8:00 PM Tuesday, and after 8:00AM Wednesday, until time of the service.

The family would like to thank T.J. Samson Hospice for the great care given to Donald.  Also for being so compassionate to them.
